I like this. Whether the pagan-right would agree or not, I think you see elements of this in the Christian tradition as well. Exemplified in the Old Testament by David and Soloman.
I have come to see political movements in triads, not just binaries. In everything, there’s always the force that builds, the force that breaks down, and the force that sustains. Expansionism, minimalism, protectionism. The distinction between the Tyrrhic and Odinic spheres of the “Right” are important, but to guide the movement towards the Great Man, I think we can’t simply move away from the role of the Protector of the liberal order, we also have to move away from the anarchist fringes who’d rather see the civilization burnt down than even begin to make it better. When the system is as we’d like it, we can find a balance between the three groups, but for now we need to organize & build.
