Just want to say thanks for the work Imperium does. There is nothing more aggravating than seeing a bunch of spergs critique an article over minor disagreements. I swear the austists on the right will never be able to see past their trivial disagreements or see the bigger picture. It would calm me to think they might be subversives posing as right wingers, but alas-that’s just how we are.
I saw the title and thought that it was going to discuss how that term is the psychological equivalent of taking a man, tying his hands and legs and then sending him out onto the floor of the Coliseum. We have to move beyond that word by not being afraid of being called it, accused of being it ... ...
That word is designed to disarm by forcing the harshest forms of ostracization and social costs on someone for loving his on kin and wanting the best for them.
When that word is greeted with a shrug and a knowing dismissal of why it is being hurled at someone it will lose its meaning.
On the other side of what I thought you were getting at with a clever dual layered meaning is that we must not form a negative identity. Our task is to ignore the word when it is wielded when we are forging our in-group/ethnic patrimony and claiming our sovereign territorial boundaries. It is to be avoided as a tactic to elevate by tearing down others. In other words, Our future is bright when we forsake that word and instead focus on truthful, comprehensive reclamation and formation of a positive group identity. A positive self image and identity, grounded in reality and truth, will see us restore and maybe, just maybe, even surpass our ancestor's former glory.
If we lost our sense of brotherhood because our worldview collapsed, then why did that worldview collapse? Isn't it because the demographic configuration the worldview lived on evolved to the point that the worldview was no longer sustainable?
That’s the million dollar question. I think it has to do with pursuit of equality. Leveling of distinction. Not the only thing to fix, but it’s a big part.
Pursuit of equality would be a change in worldview. But what brought us to that pursuit? It could be something in the previous worldview that logically forced a pursuit of equality, or it could be some isolated event or circumstance that brought us to that, or it could be development in our demographic configuration, like urbanization or the immigration of ethnic outsiders into our communities, that incentivized the pursuit of equality. Understanding this might be necessary to figuring out how to fix it.
It’s a good start. Not sure if we need the whole story about the drunken driving. It might distract from the main point that the crash is not the cause but the drinking which leads us to the question of why the drinking in the first place. Maybe Ayn Rand’s “Check your premises” might be useful here as it will catch some people’s attention. Or you could rewrite it as a police interrogation in a hospital as a starting point and then go into the implications of why various ideologies and religions failed to defend the ethnic and racial integrity.
The whole thing is like a woman complaining that the robbers kept entering her house through the front door. Suggest changing the lock and she will protest that this lock has been in her family for 2,000 years.
This struck me as a way of countersignaling National Socialism as exemplified by Joel Davis without dealing with it directly.
No one worth listening to is suggesting "racist classical liberalism" is the way forward, but that easy target is seemingly utilized to then shoehorn in the notion that "no worldview in historical memory is a serious candidate". You say "It is not enough simply to graft ethnocentrism on to an old worldview with which it never really fit". Clearly, but what about the unmentioned worldview to which that concept we all agree upon was literally foundational? You say "The prescription to graft ethnocentrism on to an ideology that brought us to this is absurd." Clearly, but are you suggesting that somehow also applies to NS without saying it?
You say "Racism ain’t gonna cut it. The solution must be far deeper than that" and offer "folkishness" as the way forward but I, at least, have never heard you meaningfully differentiate that worldview/idea (which was itself heavily featured in NS) from the best version of NS.
I always enjoy reading IP and own many IP books. Keep up the good work!
Editing note: the formulation "I am not here concerned to argue against these as compatible with ethnocentrism" is improper. I humbly suggest reworking the sentence.
What a confusing mess of a piece. Will have to gradually learn what motivated the piece and what it means going forward. Wait and see, but this leaves me feeling uneasy. Strange. Strange, indeed.

But you agree on the point? Going back to running plantations full of niggers while screaming about states rights ain’t going to cut it.
I’m curious what imperium thinks about fascism and Natsoc. Are those both lumped into the failed ideology category?
Less emotion, more logic
Fair enough, but they did say this one was an outlier to keep things fresh.

I’m skeptical of your IQ. It’s an analogy. The gruesome details are meant to parallel the butchery of western civilization over the last 200 years.
Duh, what’s an analogy?
Sigh.
What was the point of this piece? Why was it deemed necessary to write? Why now? Why make it an open (free) post? Why?
Re read the opening paragraph. You sound high
Listen, punk. Im not going to do this back and forth thing with you. Your acerbic tone is already tiresome. Go play with someone else.
lol fuck you kid
This sort of back-and-forth is gay and embarrasing to see in the IP comment section.
Ok faggot
