Last week we announced the launch of a major new initiative—a new video and podcast platform called Hearthfire Radio.
Like many of you guys, I listen to podcasts at work. But some of the most interesting podcasts don’t keep to a regular schedule. They’re done by guys who have other jobs, so they put out something when they can. So I kept a list of my favourite podcasts and whenever work permitted, I would download an episode or two and just get stuck into it.
It occurred to me that this was a little bit silly. There should be a place where you can get all of this brilliant material “under one roof”. And there are two other problems.
First, there isn’t enough content. We have a massively creative scene, but very few of these creators can afford to podcast for a living. So that’s a problem.
Second problem, over time a few of my favourite podcasts have disappeared. This is, again, because podcasters just can’t afford to do this (almost) for free forever. Putting together a high quality podcast takes a lot of time and effort that could be spent on family or work.
So it dawned on a few of us that this problem could be solved by putting as much of the best heathen content as possible in one place. The idea is to make the “YouTube” of the heathen space. But to solve the problem of losing podcasts over time, we have to charge something. We can keep it pretty low if and only if, lots of people sign up. If it becomes super popular, it means more content.
So we scraped together a (not so little) nest egg and approached some of your favourite guys and offered to pay them. We’re paying them to bring back your favourite podcasts that have folded up. We’re paying them to create new content. Everything on Hearthfire Radio is new, or back from the dead.
The roster is impressive. We’ve got Dan Capp reviving The Fyrgen podcast. We’ve got Mimir’s Brunnr coming back with new videos. Dave and the boys are bringing back The BOG. I (Mike) will have a new video podcast. We’ll have a big-brained book discussion roundtable. Marcus Follin (AKA The Golden One) will have a new fitness video podcast. Tom Rowsell (Survive the Jive) will have a new podcast. All these are exclusive to Hearthfire Radio.
But this all costs money. We are paying guys to make content for you. We have enough in the coffers to last 3 months, and after that, it has to pay for itself, or it will disappear.
This is going to be massive for the scene. And not just for heathens. It’s a test case that nationalists really can “make our own YouTube”. We’re going to make this the first place people land when they’re looking for European history, folk culture, and religion. We’re starting out with some of the heavy hitters, and we will bring in other podcasts over time. Soon we will crowd out the “woke pagans”.
But we need you to sign up. It’s $12/month, which considering what’s coming, is pretty low. We’ve made it as affordable as possible, but we need hundreds of people to subscribe to make this thing fly. If it does, it’s going to deal a fatal blow to some very bad things, and will plant seeds that will blossom into things you love.
Thanks for your support, hails and blessings to all of you.

I’m in.
Second that motion. This has needed to happen forever. So many people talk about it. Time to stand up and support the men doing it.
